Serhiy Shulyak, commander of the MANPADS department, junior sergeant3rd mechanized battalion of the 28th brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, a lawyer by education.He was born on January 1, 1986 in the city of Bilhorod - Dnistrovskyi, Odesa region.
Having been trained and worked as a lawyer, I am not entirely new to the business world. Ukraine suffers a lot by reason of the displacement of millions of people. The only chance to have them returned back to the country is quick and fast rebuilding of the country, to which I want to contribute.
I am participating in the Young Veterans Ukraine project in order to enhance my skills in the human resources, personnel and process management. I also expect to meet my own compatriots and brethen, who, like me - despite suffering injuries in combat - are ready to continue working for Ukraine’s victory on the battlefield and beyond.

Hi there, my name is Sergii, and I come from Belgorod-Dnistrovsk. Despite having suffered significant health problems (asthma) since my childhood, I chose to join active military service of Ukraine on 25 February 2022. For my efforts in defending Kherson, I was decorated by President Zelenskyy. Unfortunately, last winter my military service was terminated early due to a combat injury in Bakhmut.

Hello, my name is Serhiy, I work at the State Savings Bank of Ukraine, in the position of deputy head of department, I am one of the leaders of the ultras of the football club "Chornomorets" Odesa, I am a disabled person of the 2nd group since childhood, diagnosed with bronchial asthma, but this did not become an obstacle to making a decision regarding the protection of the state from Russian aggression, and on February 25, 2022, I was already at the location of the military unit.I got my first combat experience defending the Kherson region in March 2022, for which I was awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd degree, signed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.After the liberation of Kherson, the brigade took part in the liberation of Donbas, the Bakhmut region, where he was wounded on June 3, 2023, from December 4.I, my brigade and other defenders of Ukraine will continue to do everything possible and impossible to liberate our lands and will continue to destroy the occupiers who come to our native, Ukrainian land.After our victory, I intend to help Ukrainian soldiers in their rehabilitation and return to a normal, peaceful life.Also, I would like to express my gratitude to the countries that help us and our country in the fight against the Russian aggressor. Glory to the dead soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom of Ukraine, glory to the volunteers, and of course, glory to Ukraine, we will definitely win!!!
